Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team in Goodyear, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in QuickBooks OR Sage, and the ability to handle various accounting responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a skilled professional looking to contribute to a collaborative team environment. All candidates must successfully pass a background check prior to employment. Key Responsibilities: + Accounts Payable (AP): Enter vendor invoices, match purchase orders to bills, and prepare payments (checks, ACH, and wire transfers). + Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send invoices, track payments, and assist in collections activities. + Data Entry: Accurately input and update accounting information in QuickBooks OR Sage, ensuring data integrity. + Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. + Expense Tracking: Monitor and report on employee expenses and reimbursements. + General Support: Assist in processing payroll, filing, and maintaining organized financial records. + Communication: Interact with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. Requirements Qualifications: + Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting or related field is a plus. + Experience: + At least 1-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. + Hands-on experience with QuickBooks OR Sage is required. + Skills: + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping. + Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. + Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools.
