Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this contract role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and maintaining organized records. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate data entry tasks, including entering bills from vendors and shipping lines. • Organize and maintain filing systems to ensure records are easily accessible. • Utilize Excel to track costs and purchases, ensuring all information is up-to-date. • Assist with purchasing activities, including coordinating with vendors and managing paperwork. • Monitor and document purchases to ensure proper tracking and accountability. • Collaborate with team members to handle customer service inquiries related to accounting and purchasing. • Work with Sage software to input and manage financial data efficiently. • Support general administrative tasks to maintain seamless operations within the accounting department. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and bills. • Participate in learning opportunities to expand knowledge of accounting systems and practices. Requirements • Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with Excel for tracking and organizing information. • Experience with Sage software or willingness to learn and adapt quickly. • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. • Ability to handle customer service tasks professionally and efficiently. • Basic understanding of accounting principles or a willingness to acquire knowledge in the field. • Computer literacy and comfort navigating software systems. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and team members. • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to long-term growth within the role.
