Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity that offers a dynamic mix of accounting tasks and administrative office responsibilities. The position is fully on-site, and comprehensive training will be provided to ensure success in the role. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency. • Perform general administrative tasks to support office operations. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. • Assist with preparing and verifying invoices and expense reports. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks. • Handle data entry and ensure the integrity of financial information. • Support the preparation of reports and documentation for audits. • Respond to inquiries and provide assistance regarding accounting and office-related matters. • Contribute to the overall organization and smooth functioning of the office. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting is preferred. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. • Proficiency in administrative office tasks and tools. • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices. • Capability to work effectively in a fully on-site environment. • Dependable and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
