The Americas Accounting Associate specialist role is a position within the Americas Controller organization. The role works closely with other members of the Finance organization, especially members of the FP&A, Corporate Tax, Corporate Accounting and Regional Shared Service teams. The Associate will perform month end close steps associated with holding entities within the corporate business line.
Responsibilities: Perform all related journal entries, financial flux, key judgments, internal controls, and management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for holding entities within the corporate business line.Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to be reviewed by Supervisor.Identify and cultivate productive relationships with business partners and stakeholders.Prepare key ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by senior leadership.Consistently improve process and functional performance through innovative approaches to challenges.Identify, solve, and/or escalate accounting issues to Supervisor, where applicable.Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications:Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related discipline.Recent college graduate or at least 1 year of experience in accountingIntermediate/Advanced level of EnglishFollows through on commitments and demonstrates ownership of results.Exhibits a positive can-do attitude and approaches responsibilities with an open mind.Achievement oriented: exhibits desire and willingness to learn and grow.Applies concepts and guidelines; demonstrates healthy skepticism and effective problem solving and analytical skills.Basic understanding of finance and accounting operations & internal accounting controls.
Desired Qualifications
CPA or equivalent, preferred.General ledger accounting strongly preferred.
