Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Accountant is responsible for performing moderately complex accounting activities to ensure the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger. This role involves preparing managerial reports and financial statements, contributing to the organization's financial integrity through meticulous attention to detail and compliance with accounting principles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Ledger Maintenance: Manage and maintain the general ledger Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies Record financial transactions and journal entries Financial Reporting: Prepare managerial reports and financial statements Analyze financial data to identify trends Support in preparing forecasts and budgets Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards Maintain organized financial records Collaborate with internal and external auditors Analysis and Problem-Solving: Conduct financial analysis Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies Propose process improvementsREQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory)Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or related fieldINDEPENDENCE LEVEL:
Works under general supervision Reports to General Accounting SupervisorSKILLS:
Proficiency in accounting software Excellent communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Detail-oriented and accuracy-focusedTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of accounting systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Knowledge of financial analysis tools
