Description We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable processes. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency. • Perform detailed bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements. • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate and organized financial records. • Code invoices accurately and verify compliance with company standards. • Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for internal and external use. • Collaborate with team members to address accounting discrepancies and resolve issues. • Monitor and maintain financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy. • Support audits and provide necessary documentation as requested. • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures. • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. • Ability to accurately code invoices and review financial data. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Familiarity with accounting principles and regulatory standards.
