Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Rosemount, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in financial operations and a commitment to accuracy. The role involves supporting various accounting functions to ensure seamless financial processes. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing and coding invoices for accuracy. • Manage accounts receivable by preparing invoices and monitoring payment statuses. • Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Utilize QuickBooks to record and track financial data efficiently. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Prepare and maintain accurate financial documentation for audits and reporting. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly. • Support the implementation of improved accounting practices and workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures. • Ability to accurately code invoices and ensure compliance with financial guidelines. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members. • Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
