Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in North Augusta, South Carolina. In this role, you will provide essential bookkeeping support and assist with accounts payable, data entry, and reconciliation tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks Online and demonstrate the ability to work independently once provided with clear instructions. Responsibilities: • Perform accounts payable tasks, including bill payments and vendor reconciliations. • Enter financial data accurately into QuickBooks Online and maintain up-to-date records. • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. • Categorize transactions and digitally attach receipts and invoices for proper documentation. • Process employee expense reports and ensure timely recording of payments. • Assist in generating financial reports and support filing tasks as needed. • Maintain organized checklists for bill payments and other financial procedures. • Collaborate with team members to address additional tasks and provide support as required. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and bill payment processes. • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping and financial management. • Strong ability to reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements. • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and categorization. • Familiarity with processing employee expense reports. • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively. • Previous experience in generating reports and maintaining organized financial records.
