Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Venice, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in supporting our accounts payable and receivable operations while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic wholesale distribution company. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are up to date. • Accurately code and process invoices for payment. • Collaborate with team members to track and resolve discrepancies in financial data. • Utilize Sage X3 and Excel to maintain and update financial records. • Assist in streamlining and automating payment processes. • Communicate with suppliers to ensure payment details are accurate and complete. • Monitor and document missing or incomplete data to support process improvements. • Support the finance team in other administrative tasks as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in using Sage X3 or similar accounting software. • Ability to accurately code and process invoices. • Skilled in using Excel for data tracking and analysis. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and team members. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
