Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Victor, New York. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and maintaining organized records. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with account balances. • Utilize accounting software systems, including QuickBooks, to maintain and update financial data. • Assist in auditing processes by organizing and reviewing financial documentation. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows. • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in all accounting tasks. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions and supporting documentation. • Provide support for payroll processing using systems like ADP, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks and CaseWare. • Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Strong knowledge of financial services and auditing practices. • Ability to perform bank reconciliations with attention to detail. • Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP and Concur. • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage and interpret financial data. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Commitment to accuracy and compliance in all accounting functions.
