Accounting Assistant
The responsibility of the Accounting Assistant is to provide staff support for the Accounting Department. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: ? Reconciling service of process invoices (weekly and monthly). o Review files and enter check requests as needed o Print checks for process server ? Enter employment verification charges. o Review files and enter check requests ? Sort and input debtor payments, including review of files to determine proper application of payments. Also, review checks for accuracy. ? Serve as backup (as needed) for the following: o Mail duties: pick up mail at Post Office; sort and distribute incoming mail and courier deliveries (e.g., UPS. FedEx, etc.); weigh, stamp and label envelopes and packages; prepare certified registered mail. o Receptionist duties: greet visitors; answer calls and route to appropriate staff; log incoming and outgoing overnight packages. Additional responsibilities may include: ? Assistance with accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities. Skills & Qualities: ? Excellent multi-tasking ability. ? Advanced telephone, call handling and customer service skills. ? Basic computer skills; 10-key. basic Excel. ? Organizational skills, attention to detail. ?
