Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Owings Mills, Maryland. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting essential accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Record and post journal entries in NetSuite to ensure the accuracy of financial data. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. • Investigate and clear outstanding checks in a timely manner. • Assist with coding invoices and maintaining organized financial records. • Support the team by entering data accurately into accounting systems. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks. • Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards in all financial activities. • Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. • Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Hands-on experience with NetSuite for journal entries and data management. • Strong skills in coding invoices and maintaining financial accuracy. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles and their application. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
