Description Nick Corieri with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the accounting team of a well-established local company. In this role, you will provide essential support in managing accounts payable, processing invoices, and ensuring customer inquiries are handled in a timely manner. Responsibilities: • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues from both clients and staff. • Process vendor invoices by matching packing slips, preparing vouchers, and verifying pricing and calculations. • Enter invoices into accounting software, generate edit lists, and post purchase journals. • Review and reconcile vendor statements, identifying and correcting discrepancies as needed. • Ensure all invoices are authorized appropriately before processing. • Handle check preparation, process disbursements, and obtain required signatures for checks. • Manage merchant services transactions, including processing, transmitting, and settling credit card payments. • Assist with sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail as required. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing. • Familiarity with receptionist duties and general administrative tasks. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service. • Experience with financial software and systems is preferred.
