Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Kentucky. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and experience in financial operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment. As part of a non-profit organization, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial management and reporting. Responsibilities: • Process payroll and benefits billing accurately, utilizing Workforce Now Payroll systems. • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations with precision and efficiency. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity. • Maintain and update general ledger records in compliance with accounting standards. • Utilize intermediate to advanced Excel skills to analyze and report financial data. • Follow operational guidelines and implement instructions from the operations manual. • Collaborate with team members to identify and solve financial discrepancies. • Support auditing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports. • Manage fund accounting tasks, with nonprofit experience being a strong advantage. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now Payroll systems. • Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. • Solid experience in performing bank reconciliations and financial audits. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data management. • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively. • Familiarity with nonprofit fund accounting practices is preferred. • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to operational procedures. • Capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
