Description
We are looking for a skilled Accounting and Office Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This role combines bookkeeping expertise, office administration, and database management to ensure seamless operations and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of maintaining confidentiality while collaborating effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately record accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to maintain precise financial records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reviews, ensuring all month-end closing activities are completed on time.
• Monitor and track expenditures, including employee reimbursements, ensuring adherence to budgets and approval processes.
• Oversee daily office operations, implementing policies and procedures to optimize efficiency.
• Manage relationships with vendors and ensure office supplies and equipment are adequately maintained.
• Provide logistical support for event scheduling and billing, collaborating with the Member Services team.
• Coordinate IT services with third-party contractors to resolve technical issues and support staff needs.
• Maintain and update the organization's database by conducting regular reviews, identifying errors, and ensuring data accuracy.
• Generate reports and analytics to improve processes and enhance member engagement.
• Offer training and assistance to team members on best practices and process enhancements
Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, particularly with inventory management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and other data analytics tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in office management, including IT coordination, is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of work.
