Summary

Accounting Analyst Senior

Position Highlights: 
•    Assists in the preparation/maintenance of the general ledger to support accurate and timely financial data flows through the financial statement and external audit process in accordance with GAAP. 
•    Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of analytical and departmental reports and reconciliations to ensure compliance with current accounting standards. 
•    Area of emphasis primarily include oversight of significant financial statement components related to hospital and physician group accounts receivable and contractual adjustments or other areas of financial statement significance as assigned. 
•    Requires review and/or preparation of detailed and complex reconciliations, entries, calculations and internal control documentation. 
•    This position is also responsible for reviewing schedules or entries prepared by staff or senior accountants as assigned by the Accounting Manager or General Ledger Supervisor.

Responsibilities: 
•    General Ledger functions (i.e. journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis)
•    Review assigned balance sheet accounts and account analysis completed by the Staff Accountants and Senior Accountants per the monthly closing calendar
•    Assist the General Ledger Supervisor, Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting in preparation of the year-end and interim audits.
•    Learn the Lawson financial systems to ensure financial statements are maintained in accordance with GAAP and are accurately presented

Credentials and Experience: 
•    Bachelors degree required: field of study – Accounting or related field 
•    CPA is required
•    Minimum three (3) years previous accounting experience in a multi-company environment, auditing or financial reporting.
