The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration. It has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space spread out over the beautiful property, 9 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining), a luxury spa, and 7 pools including a 65' waterslide. Want to learn more about Arizona Biltmore? Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Accounting Analyst/Payroll professional. Must be an organized self-starter, innovative and have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have thorough knowledge of accounting and computer operations. Must be able to analyze and resolve issues that come up with regard to all aspects of accounting and finance. Responsible for processing employee time logs, PTO requests. Reconcile payroll data entries, transmit biweekly payroll, as well as the inputting of all other pay types. The responsibility also includes ensuring smooth operation of the accounting department. Job Responsibilities but not limited to: Process payroll for all resort employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Maintain payroll records, including employee data, timekeeping, deductions, and benefits. Calculate and process special payroll transactions, such as bonuses, overtime, and terminations. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management, providing information and resolving issues promptly. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, staying updated on changes in legislation. Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, highlighting key metrics and any discrepancies. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee information and seamless payroll processes. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for the accounting system Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing or accounting, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting. Strong knowledge of payroll practices, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency with payroll software and accounting systems (e.g., ADP, WorkDay). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC) is a plus.
