Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will provide finance support to achieve Moneris' commitments to customers, employees and shareholders. Responsible for preparation and data input of General Accounting activities to support Controller group activities, within the Finance group.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Settlement and Project Accounting.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

Preparation and input of Journal entries, ensuring adequate and valid back up

Responsible for filing of all accounting documentation

Perform monthly reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of such and analysis and resolution of non-reconciled amounts.

Maintain good relationships with external and internal clients

Other accounting tasks and ad hoc involvement

Perform other responsibilities, as required

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

College diploma/ degree in accounting or related field

Accounting designation (CMA or CGA) would be considered an asset but not required

Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution

2 years of experience in general accounting. Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset.

Proficient in Microsoft Windows/ Applications, MS Excel

Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal)

Ability to meet month end deadlines

Good organizational and analytical ability to assess accounting impacts with strong attention to detail
