Accounting Analyst
Description We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Accounting Analyst to join our team in Alliance, Ohio. In this Contract-to-Permanent role, you will be instrumental in managing financial data, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of key processes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting principles, an analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: + General Accounting Support: Perform routine accounting tasks such as data entry, clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records to support financial operations. + Entries and Reconciliation: Post accounting entries, ensure data accuracy, and reconcile financial input within the organization’s reporting systems. + Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset system and track capital expenditures with precision. + Utility and Lease Analysis: Analyze utility usage and lease agreements to provide detailed reports and actionable insights. + Expense Compliance: Review employee expense reimbursement requests, ensuring alignment with company policies and guidelines. + Procurement Collaboration: Evaluate plant purchase order requests and liaise with the Purchasing department to resolve discrepancies. + Month-End Close: Assist the accounting team in month-end financial close processes, meeting deadlines for accurate reporting. + Reporting and Special Projects: Prepare ad-hoc financial reports, conduct analyses, and participate in special projects aimed at improving accounting workflows and operational efficiency. Requirements • Proficiency in billing functions and account reconciliation. • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including journal and accounting entries. • Experience with fixed assets and purchase order processes. • Ability to perform daily reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret financial data. • Familiarity with utility usage and lease tracking is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
