About the OpportunityWe are looking for an Accounting Senior Associate to join our accounting team at our amazing Mexico HQ. You’ll be responsible for the cash and general accounting, and the month-end close tasks for Latam business entities in this incredibly exciting region. WeWork is a fast paced, ever changing organization so the role is best suited to a self-starter, who is not afraid to dive right in and continually adapt to the organization’s needs. The role reports to the Accounting Senior Lead in Mexico.
Responsible for reconciling Bank Accounts spanning various countries and currencies.
Daily identification of bank transactions; processing journal entries directly to the General Ledger.
Responsible for the investigation and timely resolution of outstanding items in line with the Cash policy
Prepare daily and monthly bank account reconciliations and Cash Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Liaising with Billing & Collections, Accounts Payable Team, Treasury, and other stakeholders on payment/receipt queries as appropriate.
Prepare balance-sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Assist the Accounting team in the local accounting and local audits and quarterly control GAAP recs.
Recommend and implement process improvements as appropriate to simplify, standardize and streamline efforts.
Get involved and lead ad-hoc projects as required.
About youBA/BS degree; major in accounting.
2+ years of relevant accounting experience
Proficient in English +B2
Strong understanding in cash, revenue and general accounting.
Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Workday or any other relevant ERP
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong attention to detail and time management
