Accounting Analyst

**Resumen**
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial and accounting operations of a metal-mechanical maquiladora. This role ensures accurate recording of transactions, compliance with accounting standards, and assists in the preparation of financial reports, cost analysis, and audits.
**Responsabilidades**
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Compile financial information including General Ledger journal preparation and account reconciliation
2. Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process
3. Complete balance sheet and reserve reconciliation
4. Prepare journal entries and related inter-company charges for various S&A distributions
5. Assist in development and maintenance of financial databases
6. Prepare financial and operational reports/analysis for management review; makes recommendations for improvement
7. Lead the Capital Expenditure Requisition approval and tracking process
8. Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
9. Lead special projects and be available for overtime work as deemed necessary by management
10. Perform sophisticated statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates and variances, document findings and recommend corrective action when necessary
11. Investigate and recommend process and profitability improvement initiatives
12. Utilize a variety of systems/applications to secure, consolidate and evaluate manufacturing and financial information
13. Lead the audit process and development of strategic plan
14. Lead new product development analysis
15. Serve as liaison to operations and Sector partners to ensure accurate and meaningful reporting and analysis.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor or college degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• At least 5 years accounting/finance working experience.
• Possess strong analytical skills and good business sense.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.
Strong knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and cost accounting.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
