Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate for this position must have a positive attitude and be self-motivated while also taking direction from management. Also required are excellent oral/written communication skills and a proven history of providing exceptional customer service at all levels. Our work environemnt is team oriented and very fast paced, therefore a strong candidate must have excellent organizational and time manaement skill in addition to a professional attitude that exemplities the Expeditors culuture.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable – Collection to all the branches customersEmail, call or review online payment status of all invoices over approved terms.Deposit process completed for the remit team to post.Complete all requirements for all incoming wires/ACH payments for the remit team to post.Reconcile and resolve problem invoices.Build key relationships with customers – A/P dept to quickly resolve invoice issues.Complete weekly invoice recaps for various customersSupport Accounting Department with miscellaneous projects and assignmentsEnsure communication with local branchesQualifications
Bachelor or associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldGood accounting knowledgeEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsPro-active approach, strong organizational skillsGood computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word)Fluent in English
Additional Information
Expected base salary: $21/hr. to $24/hr.
*Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Friday
