The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role:
The Accountant is responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting and managing financial information, as well as assisting in the management of the finance functions to support FGJV as directed by the Finance Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance or any other relevant Commerce degree CA or CPA Qualification White CardExperience:
Recent graduate ideally with work experience within a contractor High level of computer literacy with advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and in particular, Excel Experience within a construction (infrastructure) environment – preferred Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems Accounts Payable experienceRequired Competencies:
Knowledge of SAP Knowledge of Australian standards Banking system knowledge Sound problem solving skills Ability and desire to coach and guide subordinate team members Strong Initiative and proactive nature Key collaborative skills Highly developed oral and written communication skills Sound time management skills
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Assist the Accounts function and authorisations Assist the Cost Control function and authorisations Assist in the performance of variance analysis on budget to actual reporting/GL and Projects Reconciliation of general ledger accounts Assist in the refinement of management information systems and integrate / improve reporting frameworks Assist in the improvement of internal controls and procedures, Monitoring of record-keeping and compliance requirements. Assist in the liaison with external auditors where necessary Provide financial support to internal stakeholders Job costing analysis Assist in general accounting functions Assist in maintaining internal audit and controls
