Job Title: Accountant – Operations
Location: Condell Park, NSW
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant – Operations to join our finance team based in Condell Park. This role is ideal for a proactive accounting professional looking to gain exposure across a wide range of operational finance and administration functions, while supporting senior accountants and management in delivering accurate and timely financial outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Accounting Manager – Operations (NSW/QLD), you will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial data, supporting month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting. You will also assist in budget and forecast preparation, maintain compliance with WH&S and company policies, and provide valuable support to the operations department.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and fortnightly operational and financial reports
Review, post and reconcile inventory cycle counts; assist with stocktakes as required
Raise and monitor indirect purchase orders, ensuring correct documentation is maintained
Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time
Reconcile general ledgers, accruals and payables
Assist with month-end close processes and preparation of management/financial reports
Investigate discrepancies and liaise with the Accounting Manager to address variances
Contribute to budget and forecast preparation
Carry out ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with the Privacy Act
Promote and adhere to workplace health and safety practices
About You
You are a driven and analytical professional with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key requirements:
Graduate-level qualification in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CA preferred but not essential)
Strong accounting and analytical skills with demonstrated critical thinking ability
Exposure to ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Current driver’s licence (preferred)
