Newly created role (accounting brought in-house – previously outsourced) Reports directly to the Director Sole Accountant position (stand-alone role with full ownership) Full on-site role, based in Bucharest Opportunity to build and structure accounting processes internally

 

Core responsibilities

Manage the full accounting cycle and tax reporting in compliance with local legislation & IFRS Process invoices, payments, receivables, and reconcile accounts Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll taxes and contributions Maintain employee financial records and administrative documentation Manage export–import accounting and related documentation Ensure complete and accurate document flow (incoming, outgoing, returns, inventory, write-offs) Provide timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to management Support audits and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements

 

Candidate profile:

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (ideally 2+ years in an international company) Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, taxation, IFRS, and export–import operations Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus) Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills Fluent Romanian, good English (B2/C1 level) Analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and proactive approach
