As an accountant II on the Global Consolidations team, you will assist with consolidating the financial results for all Starbucks entities, including monitoring intercompany activities. You will also support the accounting close process, including running reports, preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts and quarterly analyses to support the financial filings and earnings release.
As an accountant II, you will…
Monitor intercompany activities – You will be responsible for monitoring the elimination of intercompany transactions across the globe, including investments in subsidiaries and common stock, A/R and A/P, and royalty and license fees. Monthly/Quarterly Reporting – You will perform monthly/quarterly close and reporting tasks and prepare documents to support our SEC filings. Support the RDP Program – You will train and support the Rotational Development Partners (RDP’s) who rotate through the team. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Attention to detail Effective customer service skills Ability to interact effectively at various levels of the organization Experience with computerized general ledger systems (e.g. Oracle or other ERP) Ability to prioritize and document work performed Intermediate level analytical skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience 2 years general accounting at professional level, including journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting Experience with consolidations and eliminations, intercompany transactions, foreign exchange accounting and/or legal entity accounting a plus.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
