Description We are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join a dynamic team in Elmwood, New Jersey. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the Accounts Receivable team, with opportunities to learn and grow within the organization. This is a hybrid position, requiring three days in the office and two days working remotely. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to transition to a permanent position. Responsibilities: • Assist the Accounts Receivable team with daily accounting tasks and financial operations. • Perform basic accounting entries and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Support bank reconciliation processes to ensure accurate cash flow management. • Learn and utilize Excel functions, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups, to analyze and process financial data. • Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and assist in month-end closing activities. • Provide support for Accounts Payable processes as needed. • Adapt to new accounting software and tools as part of on-the-job training. • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. • At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related role. • Basic understanding of general accounting principles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; willingness to learn advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and V-Lookups. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. • Excellent communication and organizational abilities. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment. • Eagerness to learn new accounting software and tools.
