Description We are looking for a motivated Entry Level Accountant to join our team in Bronx, New York. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career in accounting while gaining hands-on experience with essential financial processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and possess strong technical skills. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately. • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure proper recordkeeping. • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. • Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve inquiries and maintain positive relationships. • Utilize accounting software systems, including QuickBooks Desktop, to perform daily tasks. • Analyze accounts and ensure proper coding for financial transactions. • Assist with generating reports and performing account analysis as needed. • Collaborate with team members to improve accounting functions and workflows. • Support ERP system processes and maintain data integrity. • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to handle advanced functions. • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is highly advantageous. • Knowledge of other ERP systems, such as Dynamics NAV, is a plus. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Ability to perform account coding and reconciliation with accuracy. • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and other business software tools. • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
