Description We are looking for an Staff Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. In this contract role, you will support key accounting functions while ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and inventory reconciliations. This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous individual eager to expand their accounting expertise. Responsibilities: + Finalize NetSuite system transition and ensure smooth adoption + Build out and streamline internal workflows + Customize and automate reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) + Set up dashboards, KPIs, and automation projects (including EDI if applicable) + Record and reconcile all financial transactions in NetSuite + Assist with AR/AP, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P& L preparation + Improve overall NetSuite efficiency to make processes smoother and lighter for the team + (Plus) Experience in inventory management and integration is a bonus Requirements • At least 3 year of experience in an accounting or related role. + Strong NetSuite expertise (more the merrier) + Solid finance/accounting background + Ability to automate processes and create custom solutions + Tech-savvy problem solver with strong communication skills • Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Familiarity with performing bank reconciliations and daily inventory checks. • Ability to process invoices and manage data entry accurately. • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Effective communication and collaboration abilities. • Experience with transactional accounting systems is a plus.
