Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Rockford, Illinois. This is a Long-term Contract position ideal for individuals eager to develop their accounting skills and contribute to essential financial operations. The role involves managing key accounting processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments. • Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies. • Reconcile financial accounts to maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment follow-ups. • Prepare and post accounting entries in accordance with established procedures. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Assist in resolving discrepancies and providing solutions to improve financial operations. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation for audits and reporting. • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy and efficiency. Requirements • Basic knowledge and understanding of accounts payable processes. • Experience or familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial account management. • Proficiency in handling accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and collections. • Ability to prepare accurate and compliant accounting entries. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills for collaboration within a team environment. • Proficiency in using accounting software or tools. • Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
