Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Tallahassee, Florida. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices and preparing payments. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. • Reconcile various accounts to maintain the integrity of financial data. • Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments and resolving discrepancies. • Record accounting entries with precision and compliance to established guidelines. • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements. • Support periodic audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis. • Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting processes and procedures. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for reporting purposes. • Address and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Strong understanding of bank and account reconciliations. • Familiarity with recording accurate accounting entries. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records. • Effective communication and teamwork skills. • Knowledge of accounting software or tools is a plus.
