Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering hands-on experience in accounting operations and data management. The role requires someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Assist in transferring data from legacy accounting systems to updated platforms while ensuring accuracy. • Perform account reconciliation and verification to maintain data integrity. • Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and general ledger entries. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze large datasets. • Follow established processes and procedures to meet project deadlines. • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth system transitions and workflow. • Review financial data for errors and inconsistencies, applying meticulous attention to detail. • Provide support in generating reports and documentation for internal use. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address questions and provide updates. • Maintain a structured and organized approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for basic data analysis and organization. • Familiarity with accounting software systems and their functionalities. • Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. • Ability to follow processes and meet strict deadlines. • Comfortable working with large datasets and performing repetitive tasks. • Prior experience with accounts payable or general accounting functions is a plus.
