Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and data management. The role involves working on-site, with the possibility of transitioning to one remote day in the future. Responsibilities: • Assist in transferring data from legacy systems to updated accounting platforms. • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Process accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records. • Conduct analysis of accounting entries to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. • Follow established processes and workflows to ensure consistency in financial operations. • Work extensively with large datasets and numbers, ensuring precision and attention to detail. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report financial data. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and organizational goals. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address questions and provide updates. Requirements • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial tasks. • Proficiency in working with large datasets and numbers. • Familiarity with accounting software systems and basic accounting principles. • Experience with Microsoft Excel, even at a beginner level. • Ability to follow structured processes and workflows. • Capability to perform tedious, repetitive tasks with focus and efficiency. • A basic understanding of accounts payable and account reconciliation processes.
