Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Morristown, New Jersey. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working with large data sets and numbers. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills while contributing to the success of critical projects. Responsibilities: • Assist in transferring data between accounting systems with attention to accuracy and detail. • Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure data integrity. • Execute routine accounting tasks, including preparing entries and reviewing financial records. • Support accounts payable processes by verifying and processing invoices. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and report financial data. • Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. • Maintain organized financial documentation for audit and reporting purposes. • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to provide updates and clarify requirements. • Ensure all tasks are completed within project deadlines while maintaining high quality. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. • Comfortable working with large sets of numbers and performing repetitive tasks. • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and formatting. • Familiarity with accounting functions such as account reconciliation and accounts payable. • Ability to follow established processes and meet deadlines consistently. • Prior experience with accounting software systems is a plus.
