Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to oversee and optimize financial operations within our organization. Based in Ipswich, Massachusetts, this role offers an opportunity to lead critical accounting processes and ensure accurate reporting. For additional information and consideration, please contact MICHAEL ABATE @ michael.abate@roberthalf;com Responsibilities: • Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Oversee general ledger activities and maintain proper documentation for all accounts. • Coordinate and support financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. • Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Prepare, review, and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial data. • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations. • Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance. • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards. • Train and mentor less experienced accounting staff to foster skill development and team growth Requirements • Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and general ledger management. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies efficiently. • Expertise in preparing and posting accurate journal entries. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools to support financial operations. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and leadership abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
