**What you will do:** The Accountant will be primarily responsible for executing account reconciliations and monthly closing activities related to assigned entities in Stryker and additional support required per ad-hoc request. + Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities. + Investigate and resolve unsupported balances. + Provide support to the business on request related to journal/recon backups. + Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management, which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses. + Financial Statement analysis. + Prepare journal entries calculations. + Perform the month-end closing process and any requests as necessary + Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP. + Performs other related work to the accounting cycle. **What you need:** Required: + +2 years of relevant working experience in accounting roles in a matrixed international company or shared service center. + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field + MS Office Suite (Intermediate Excel level [pivot table, formulas, charts]) + Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish. 80% Preferred: + SAP, Oracle or QAD systems knowledge is a big plus Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better.
