Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities, within the plastics manufacturing industry. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your expertise in financial processes and contribute to the organization’s overall financial health. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable (AP) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards. • Handle accounts receivable (AR) tasks, including invoicing and tracking payments. • Prepare and record journal entries to reflect financial activities appropriately. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with statements. • Utilize IQMS software to streamline and manage accounting operations. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows. • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting functions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in IQMS or similar accounting software. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
