Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in overseeing financial operations within the manufacturing industry. Candidates must bring a strong background in automated Accounts Payable processes and supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice scanning and electronic processing.
• Supervise team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and other financial workflows.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform detailed bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Process journal entries with precision and attention to detail.
• Handle accounts receivable tasks to maintain accurate records and timely collections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline automated financial systems.
• Ensure all accounting practices align with organizational policies and industry regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable processes from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of general ledger functions and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable and related tasks.
• Expertise in preparing journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with automated AP systems, including invoice scanning and electronic workflows.
• Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving financial discrepancies.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
