Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This contract position will support critical financial operations during a six-week period to ensure seamless business continuity. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in month-end close processes and a strong background in accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparation of financial reports.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies within financial records and accounts.
• Collaborate with team members to support corporate financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain organized records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Provide timely updates and reports to the finance leadership team.
• Support ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed during the contract period. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
• Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
