Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accountant to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in fund accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the organization’s overall financial health. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze budgets, financial reports, and statements to ensure accurate and timely financial management. • Conduct internal audits and provide detailed financial analysis to maintain compliance with federally regulated programs. • Manage cash forecasting processes to support strategic financial planning. • Reconcile accounts and maintain control over multiple fiscal year-end processes. • Interpret and implement financial rules, regulations, and statutes to ensure compliance. • Collaborate with various teams to provide financial insights and recommendations. • Maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism in all financial operations. • Utilize accounting software, such as Yardi, to manage accounts payable and receivable. • Handle large volumes of work efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures through effective internal controls. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting or a similar role. • Proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial reporting. • Familiarity with accounting software, particularly Yardi. • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial documentation. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. • Valid North Carolina driver’s license. • Willingness to undergo drug testing, criminal background checks, and organizational screening processes.
