Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Rancho Dominguez, California. In this role, you will handle critical financial tasks such as bank reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance within our systems. This position requires on-site collaboration to support accounting operations and related activities effectively. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed bank reconciliations using Procontractor and QuickBooks Online. • Prepare, post, and review journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger. • Utilize Procontractor and QuickBooks Online to manage accounting tasks efficiently. • Provide support for light HR-related activities and other accounting functions as required. • Ensure financial records follow company policies and industry standards. • Collaborate with team members on-site to address financial and operational needs. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations or general ledger entries. • Assist with month-end closing processes and reporting. • Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions for auditing purposes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliations. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Procontractor or similar software such as Sage. • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate financial reports. • Experience with general ledger and journal entry preparation. • Reliable and committed to working on-site in Rancho Dominguez, California. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of construction accounting practices is a plus. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
