Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves performing bank reconciliations and entering journal entries into the general ledger, with the potential to assist in filing overdue sales tax returns across several states.

ResponsibilitiesPerform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently.Enter journal entries into the general ledger.Utilize basic Excel functions for accounting tasks.Assist with filing overdue sales tax returns for multiple states, if experienced.Essential SkillsProven experience in accounting, specifically in bank reconciliations and journal entries.Proficiency in basic Excel functions.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in filing state sales tax returns is a plus.Work Environment

This role is a 2-3+ month contract designed to support the team in catching up on accounting tasks. The work involves cleaning up accounting work, focusing on journal entries and bank reconciliations from the past few months. The environment includes collaboration with a Controller, Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Purchasing Manager. This position offers a good chance for extension, contingent on attrition.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
