Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our client's team in north Dayton, Ohio. This long-term contract to hire part time position (24 hours/ week) offers an exciting opportunity to support financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and tax preparation. For immediate consideration, please apply first, then contact Chris Braun at (937) 331-6360 Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. • Manage general ledger accounts, including journal entries and reconciliation processes. • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain smooth financial operations. • Conduct audits and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions. • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate reporting. • Handle employment tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to streamline processes. • Collaborate with team members to improve financial workflows and reporting methods. • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on precision and accuracy. • Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries, and reconciliation. • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and tax regulations. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Ability to handle month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
