Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Brooksville, Florida. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, including month-end closings and financial reporting, while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to manage essential accounting functions and contribute to maintaining strong financial operations. Responsibilities: • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and compliance. • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. • Manage permitting, insurance, and other financial documentation requirements. • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Assist in streamlining accounting procedures to improve efficiency. • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and account reconciliation. • Proficiency in preparing accurate journal entries and bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. • Ability to handle permitting and insurance-related financial tasks. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
