Description An innovative and efficient Staff Accountant is need for a recognized company in the Lehigh Valley. We are looking for a talented and focused individual who will play a vital role in this company. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Duties/Responsibilities: • Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department. • Assists with periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. • Maintains the general ledger. • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books. • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks. • Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections. • Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. • Assists the Controller with the annual review, Month End Close and accounting filings as directed. • Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. • As appropriate, coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software. • Performs other related duties as assigned including some HR related activities For IMMEDIATE consideration for this position, please apply directly to this posting or call us at 610-882-1600 Requirements Accounting Software Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Balance Sheet Account, Account Reconciliation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
