Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Analyze profit and loss statements to identify trends and provide actionable insights. • Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Manage accounts payable and payroll processes, serving as a backup resource when needed. • Perform financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes. • Consolidate financial data across multiple entities and joint ventures. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting. • Utilize QuickBooks for general ledger management and financial tracking. • Support quarterly finance committee meetings by preparing and presenting relevant financial data. • Foster a positive and collaborative office environment while balancing work-life priorities. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. • Strong proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing bank reconciliations. • Familiarity with financial statement preparation and profit and loss analysis. • Experience with payroll systems, preferably Proliant, is a plus. • Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software. • Background in healthcare or medical accounting is advantageous but not required. • Ability to handle financial operations for multiple entities and joint ventures. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative and outgoing personality.
