Description Seeking an Accountant to join an accounting firm in Marietta, Georgia on a contract basis. Responsibilities: • Handle accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and journal entries with precision. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records and compliance with regulations. • Prepare and respond to tax-related inquiries and notices, crafting precise communications to resolve client issues. • Collaborate with team members to address shifting priorities and maintain workflow efficiency. • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality service and support. • Research tax compliance issues and provide well-informed solutions to address client needs. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel to streamline processes and ensure accuracy. • Contribute to a team-oriented environment by sharing expertise and assisting with client projects. • Adapt to changing responsibilities and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving. Requirements • Solid understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations. • Proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks and Excel; experience with Lacerte tax software is a plus. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Prior experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. • Motivated and detail-oriented attitude, with a commitment to delivering quality results. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
