Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing and analyzing financial operations within the healthcare and clinical trial industries. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are eager to contribute their expertise to support therapeutic programs and drive financial excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts receivable processes, including tracking payments, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing cash flow.
• Prepare and issue invoices while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insights into therapeutic program funding and clinical trial costs.
• Maintain accuracy in general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical trial teams to align financial processes with project objectives.
• Analyze billing data for accuracy, identify trends, and perform reconciliations between financial records and clinical trial operations.
• Support audit processes and manage complex financial reconciliations for clinical trial funding.
• Enhance financial systems and processes, including billing and accounts receivable, to achieve performance targets.
• Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and reporting to improve financial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare billing standards and organizational guidelines. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical accounting, healthcare financials, or therapeutics.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as NetSuite, ERP platforms, or comparable tools.
• Strong understanding of compliance standards in healthcare finance and clinical trial operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred for senior roles.
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver accurate results.
• Familiarity with systems like ADP, Concur, and other financial management tools is a plus.
