Purpose of the position
Are you ready to take ownership in a dynamic global finance environment? As an Accountant, Transactional Excellence at Hiab, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities for selected countries and processes. These include month-end general ledger close, periodization, fixed asset creation, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
In this role, you’ll act as the primary point of contact for your assigned areas, ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards, and contribute to delivering accurate, timely financial data. You’ll also support junior team members through cross-trainings and take part in continuous improvement initiatives. Main tasks and responsibilities65% Provide accounting services: deliver services in line with agreed controls and procedures; ensure that data is accurate in company systems; recognize unusual events and work with supervisors to resolve the case, participate in transition activities. 20% Comply with internal control procedures and accounting policies in compliance with CAS; ensure all the documentation is up-to-date and accurate. 15% Provide cross training and back-up support for roles in the area of Record-to Report; handle ad-hoc requests Any other tasks assigned by the line manager related to the areas of accountability All work needs to be conducted in compliance with Global Company guidelines, code of conduct, policies, procedures, controls and legal requirements What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Experience:
2-4 years of relevant experience in finance operations
Competencies:
Experience with simple to complex query handling
Good MS-office skills, ERP knowledge
Process knowledge on RTR
Strong team player
Problem solving attitude
To demonstrate analytical skills
Good Interpersonal & Communication Skills
Taking initiative in a proactive manner to improve own and team work practices
Proficiency of written and oral English
