Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to work for a small company across various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in full-cycle accounting and the ability to adapt to support team needs. Responsibilities: • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. • Reconcile purchase orders with accounts receivable and ensure accurate financial records. • Prepare and process manual and electronic checks while maintaining compliance with company policies. • Monitor and manage the accounts payable inbox, both digital and physical, to address inquiries and process payments efficiently. • Collaborate with banking partners to streamline processes, such as automating workflows through NetSuite. • Assist with month-end journal entries and ledger maintenance to support accurate financial reporting. • Provide support to the team during absences by stepping into various accounting roles as needed. • Work closely with leadership to take on higher-level accounting tasks over time. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions and reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle accounting. • Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel is REQUIRED • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions. • Ability to reconcile financial discrepancies and maintain accurate records. • Experience with journal entries and month-end closing processes. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Adaptability to handle multiple tasks and assist team members as required. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
